So our house has always been really cold. Jacob likes to keep the thermostat at 68, which should be warm enough to not keep a coat on in the house. But we live in an old apartment, we had to sign one of those led paint waivers before we moved in. That's how old it is! I don't think that they have changed the windows since they built them. They are single paned and very draft so we figured it was about 50 degrees. So today we decided to do something about it! We bought some shrink wrap and put it around our windows. I think it was the best $10 we ever spent! Our house is really 68 degrees! Its so nice! It was so nice that we decided to give Jacob a hair cut. Don't worry he didn't keep his bangs, even though I thought he should have! It's been a fun filled evening full of adventure.

A warm home is a happy home!

good job on the hair cut you totaly should have keep the bangs. I didn't actually cut the kids hair My mom did.
I agree - you should have left the bangs and dyed or spray painted (with colored hair spray) them some sort of neon/electric color. Then, Jacob could have pretended he was an 80's punk rock band star. And you could be his groupie :)
paul and i know exactly what you mean about the drafty windows. i am so glad you didn't have sheets of ice on your walls! mom says things like that build character!
