A day off TOGETHER!!!

Today was my first Sunday off in along time! I don't mind so much working on Sundays, but this happens to be the only day that Jacob gives himself a day off from school. (When I'm working he still works on school). So today has been the best! Here is why...

1) Morning cuddles till 9:30 or 10.
2) Casually getting ready for church (which's includes a nice bath and shaving my legs!)
3) Breakfast made by Jacob (this isn't much different from every other day but nice all the same)
4) Going to church with friends. Which is way better then going as a couple, because we could play couples hang man! This prevents a fight over who won hang man! We both win!
5) 7 Layer dip for lunch! Yum!
6) Going to go visit the cutest puppies ever! I want one...dang land lords and there rules!
7) Dinner from the crockpot that has been cooking all day!
8) Cake and ice cream and my sisters! Happy Birthday Alyssa!
9)Making cookies! I love having home made cookies laying around the house, it makes me happy!
10) Sitting on my very comfy couch with my Jacob, watching our anniversary present... a dirty movie! Just kidding it was a blue ray player with netflicks!

Halloween is coming!!!

I got all my Halloween stuff out yesterday! I LOVE Halloween, I got this new wreath from Pier 1. It has the all the great things I love about Halloween.

1) Glitter

3) Spiders (with glitter)
4) Spider webs (also with glitter)
5) Spooky netting (that's right it has glitter)

Movin' Out!

After 8 months of living with the parents, Jacob and I have officially become grown ups again! It's GREAT! We stay up late, have friends over it's awesome! Just kidding, we still just work all the time. It's pretty much the same as living with mom and dad except we can walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night in our underwear now. It's the little things!

The Guardians

So this February I worked on a film for 1 day. If you remeber me telling you about the Ninja Turtle who I worked with it's the same movie. So this movie was shot in 1.5 days all on a green screen. It's about 5 minutes long, here is the link you can check it out on.

What the heck has been going on?

It's been a long summer! Here is a little update. I was blonde and now I'm not, Jacob had a beard and a mohawk and now he doesn't (depsite my brain washing him into wanting them). We had some Summer fun with the Goddards! A random trip to Antelope Island (only recomended to those who do not have a fear of bugs and large animals). And last but not least our sons wedding! Oh Chad how we will miss you! Ok I know he didn't die but he found someone he loves more then us! Sad! So other then that we have been really boring. Jacob got all A's this summer! Giving him an overall GPA of 3.7! I have been working my buns off working and trying not to spend money! (It sounds so easy!).

Debt free is the way to be!

Today marks the last payment i will ever make towards my make up school debt! Good riddens! So hopefully next month Jacob and I will be able to be adults again and move out of the parents house! I can hardly wait to be a big girl again.
Fair well debt I hope to never see you again!

Loki and the Raccon

On a dark stormy night a sweet yet sassy dog named Loki ventured outdoors to do "his business", and a nightly patrol. Little did he know that there was a traitorous predator living in the suburbs of Provo, a Raccoon! There was a crash and many helpless yelps from our dear Loki. He ran with all his might through the doggy door followed by the raccoon! It was in the house! After a few minutes of door slamming and food persuasion the raccoon had finally left! This morning a week later our saga comes to a end! Thank you Provo city for collecting all of our unwanted items, including this very cute but dangerous (at least to Loki) animal!

Phoebe!

So last Saturday some of the fabric shops were having a shop hop, so I went with my mom. This is where I met Phoebe and all of her little friends! Isn't she awkwardly cute! Anyway I love her and I want to make millions of them!. She is missing her ears because I Haven't found a fabric I like yet for them. And for all you scrapers out there, yes that is the same print from the MME Just Dreamy collection! They have all the prints and I also saw last years Basic Grey Christmas Collection in fabric as well! I heart Phoebe! You can see all of her friends at mellyandme.typepad.com.

It must be a mid life crisis or something! My blonde isn't completely done yet. I will post when all the coloring is complete. It should be a lot prettier!

Camping = Beauty Pagent!

Jacob actually started this one! This moring at the cabin as a joke Jacob started singing the Miss America Song to all the girls that came into the cabin (because we were looking so beautiful after 3 days of not bathing!) and assigned them a state. So one thing lead to another and we had a full on beauty pagent with a cat walk and most importantly the talent portion. I did a kart wheel, which is not shown because I had the camera, and the girls put on a musical number for us!

Texture, Texture, Texture.

So long story short I got conned into making heritage photo cd's for my grandmas birthday. Dang me and my skills!!! So I was going through the pictures and cleaning them up and I came along this gem. This is my FAVORITE picture. At first look it is just an old lady but when you zoom onto her face you can see every wrinkle and every crack. It is amazing. (Click on the photo to make it bigger) You know how they say with digital photos you can see everything. I can't even imagine how this lady look in real life! So today I am grateful for face cream!

All my pretty things!

So I thought moving into 1 bedroom in my parents house would be liberating... but as the days go by, I miss my pretty things! This includes mostly my table ( I love my table!), my craft room and craft supplies, my own dresser(curently Jacob and I are sharing... I don't share well!) And most of all, my pictures!

New job means no more movies...

So when Jacob and I decided that I would get another full time job we also decided that I would have to put movies on the back burner for awhile. So I knew the day would come that I would have to turn down an awesome movie offer. This week that awesome offer came this week! Sad! I got a phone call from my director friend saying he is doing a shoot in June for 3 weeks... I couldn't bring myself to call him back so I had to write him an email. It pretty much said I have to be a big girl now that I have a big girl job. He wrote me back and asked who he needed to talk to to get me fired! It's like pouring salt into a wound... finally a big offer and I can't take it. The only comfort I have is that one day Jacob will be rich and I won't feel bad for putting my dreams on hold, while he tries to full fill both of our dreams (his to help his community and better the world and mine to be a the wife of a rich man).

Push Came to Shove.....

So push came to shove and Natasha had to get a job! I know it was only like 2 months ago that I was so excited to do make up full time but then reality kicked in. So a month after I quit Pebbles Jacob told me that for the next 5 semesters it would be to his advantage not to have a job. All of his classes are getting harder and more time consuming. Plus he has to job shadow with a doctor, volunteer a bunch of hours and not to mention all the other little things that med schools like to see on applications. So instead of me bursting his bubble(which happens on a regular basis), he burst mine! No more makeup! I get to be the bread winner. So I was looking for a job that had benefits...because I haven't been to the dentist in a year and a half! Yuk! So after much stewing and searching for a job I got one! I am now the Assistant Manager at Pier 1 Imports!
My first day was yesterday and it was so fun! It is really hard not to buy home decor stuff. Especially because I miss my own home. Yeah for new jobs.... sad for no more make up! By the way I do get benefits! Sweet!!!

What the Ninja Turtle!

So I had a shoot on Saturday and I was so excited because it is a ninja movie! Which means I get to do blood! Anyway I show up on set do my deeds and head down to the stage where they are filming. My usually film buddies were there(so much fun!). So there was this buzz about this guy that was one of the fighters. Apparently this guy was one of the Ninja Turtles in the 1st movie and he was the pizza delivery guy in the 2nd movie. It's not everyday you get to scar up a Ninja Turtle! And once again no picture! I hope I will have one for next time!

Sweet! My car got a Boo Boo!

Today minding my own business at work, I heard some guy come into the shop and say that someone just hit a car. "That sucks" I thought to myself! A few minutes later the Service Writer came in and ask if the Silver Alero was mine. After calling him a liar to his face, I kinda started to believe it was my car. I took a walk outside and sure enough it was my car. The poor kid that hit me looked so dis trot. I told him it would be ok, my husband hates that car anyway! He didn't think it was funny! I did! Now I get lots of money all because I went to work and parked my car in the right spot! Ok maybe not lots but still! Its like getting a face lift for my car and I don't have to pay for it! SWEET!!!! Everyone wants a newer looking car, and that's what I got today! Oh I would post a picture but, there was an unfortunate accident with my camera. It seems when you spill soda in your purse and your camera is in your purse, it's not good news for your camera! Lets just say it's a sticky situation!

Where it all began!

It all began with Mom and Dad! So this afternoon I was helping mom hang all of her kid's wedding photos and there was one missing. I preceded to investigate... and after much convincing I found this photo. One of 4 photos of Mom and Dads wedding. Now we all know why she is so particular about all of her pictures!

Im not a big girl!

So with my days off, I have been able to spend more time with my neices and nephew. So Savannah is 2 1/2 and she is so funny and talks all the time. So her brother Jaxxon was telling us how he gets to play soccer this summer and Savannah chimes in and says "Tashy I'm going to play soccer too! Just like Jaxxon!" Her mom leans back and told her she isn't old enough to play soccer and should could play maybe next year. A little light came on in her head and this is what poped out. "Im not a big girl because I poop in my pants!" At least she knows why shes not a big girl!

Last Day!

Today was my last day at Pebbles. I am really excited to pursue my make-up carrer! We had a lovely luch and I got this cute note from Audey sweetheart! I love all the girls there and I will miss them so much!

We are so excited that our friend Chad is home from his mission!! We love him like a son! Now all we have to do is get him hooked up with a pretty girl and get him married! Just kidding! I would have posted a picture but he throughs a fit everytime you try and take one!

Make-up better make it!

So I quit my job yesterday. Three years after make-up school I finally decided that I want and can do make up as a full time job! I'm really excited to have the time to focus on what I really want to do. I am sad to leave Pebbles but I know I am doing the right thing. I am hopefully going to start doing make up for weddings in between films. So doing make-up better make it or Jacob and I will be living with my mom forever!

Nap Day!

Yeah!!!! Not that I don't love doing movies, but i am so TIRED!!! 12-16 hour days is no good! I love working in Utah, you get Sundays off here. So the movie is going well. They just pick up a real actor to be in our film! I'm excited, my first real life movie star sitting in my make up chair! I would tell you but we have to wait until we are done shooting before I can tell anyone! The producers are hoping that lifetime or ABC family will pick up the movie for the Christmas Season.!

Movies?!

So today we did a test for hair and makeup, but what they didn't tell me is that they want me to do a wedding style! So I guess thats why they pay me the big bucks! I did the final style in less then ten minutes! Including makeup! This isn't the final of it. It has more curl then what is shown in the picture. MOVIES!!!! You only have a little time to do crazy things!

I Hate Moving!

So I officially hate moving. We are moving into my parents house to get myself out of debit. Which is a good thing! But the crappy, and happy part is that I got another movie that starts on the 19Th so... We have to be moved by Sunday! I don't recommend moving in a week and a half! It really sucks!
The good news is that I am really excited to work on another movie! It takes up all of my time for two weeks but is totally worth it in the end! Jacob is like a lost puppy when I'm gone, so if you see him on the street looking really pathetic, pick him up and please drive him home! Maybe feed him too!
